The discomfort of writing software right now is a green flag

Right now, writing software feels uncomfortable.
Everyone is learning new AI-powered tooling, the tools themselves are in a state of constant flux, and there are almost no standards yet. Just a steady stream of “I tried this and it’s working well for me and my team.”
That discomfort is a green flag. It means your team is out there experimenting, making their processes and workflows better, and sharing that out so others can be more effective.
If, on the other hand, your most senior engineers (the ones who are the most experienced) know all the answers and are sitting in comfort right now, that’s the red flag. Plus they’re missing the chance to show everyone else that it’s okay to be learning and (what feels like) fumbling right now.
